I Dream of Riding

I dream of riding a great slow horse through an open place. There is much light where he walks, but the light illumes nothing. Where are we? The light widens into a river. We walk out toward the center. I can feel the bottomless light beneath us, as deep as the horse's flanks in places, or else impassable. I am frightened and confused. I lie curled against the animal for comfort, my hands grip his mane, but I fall. I cry out.

That's a lovely picture!
Have you ever gotten the chance to live that dream?
I started taking horse-riding lessons, once, but didn't get too far.

Not since I was seven or so, and rode my friend's old white sway-back horse named "Lucky." He was slow, and had huge yellow teeth. I was scared of him. And, hey! I used to watch ants. I made them little boats out of leaves from the fig tree in our back yard, and floated them down the river when the trees got watered.

Trust me when I say this.. I'm not kidding!!

I used to get dreams of 'flying', often, but it had been a while since I last dreamt of it.
Yesterday I read one of your previous posts on the same subject, and guess what, I dreamt of it again!

I could always raise myself higher, or fly lower (in my dreams, of course) whenever required, but I never really paid attention to HOW i did it. And the weird thing is, I actually thought in my dream, "Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. Ah, that's what Pepek said..."

Felt extremely odd when I awoke...
